Both my children started Bovey Tracey Academy in Reception. One has since left the school to start secondary school at a local Grammar. Both my children have had very positive experiences at Bovey Tracey. They are very keen readers and Bovey Tracey Academy has always supported and encouraged their love of books. They have been given opportunities outside of school too. Both of my children joined the school choir and musical theatre group. They have loved performing across Devon and it has helped developed their confidence and sense of community. Finally, they tell me that using Bovey pool for their swimming lessons is awesome and that the food at lunchtimes is really tasty. A big thumbs up from our family.
My daughter loves PE at Bovey Tracey Academy! She thoroughly enjoys the wide variety of sports and skills taught throughout the year, especially swimming for the whole of KS2 in the summer term. PE days are her favourite days! She also loves to participate in the extra curricular sports activities. Bovey Tracey Academy together with the Sports Partnership offer many opportunities for children to compete in many different PE experiences - from Dartmoor 3 Ball to Cyclo-Cross!

For our family, Bovey Tracey Academy is embodied by it's kind and compassionate staff. My children have been encouraged and supported in this environment. One of my children struggled with significant anxiety and has greatly benefitted from the skilled staff at the thrive hive, she is now flourishing at secondary school.
Bovey Tracey Academy has provided a nurturing, caring and confidence-building environment for all three of my children. the entire staff group whether it's the headteacher, the Senco, Reception, kitchen staff or year group teacher have taken considerable time and attention getting to know each individual child and then meeting their needs, whether academically, emotionally or socially. There is also strong communication with parents which means you always understand your child's school experience and that they're getting the best preparation for secondary school and life beyond. I would absolutely recommend this school.
